The Cardiology Unit at Royal Hospital is well staffed and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cope with the most complex of conditions. Besides the extensive non-invasive diagnostic facilities, a biplane DSA angiography unit has enabled the department to carry out interventional work of a high caliber. The CCU has been recently refurbished. The echocardiography equipment is also being replaced so as to undertake intra-operative monitoring and improve the trans-oesophageal echo facilities for adults and children.
