The Royal Hospital is located in the Al Ghubra area of Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. It is about 15 kilometers from the Seeb International Airport and about 20 kilometers from the center of the city. It is situated on a greeny mountainous terrain of 245,610 sq. m., fairly close to the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and the Bausher residential area.
