On 10th November 2010 the women staff of the Royal Hospital participated in the project to write the longest letter ever written to His Royal Highness Sultan Qaboos in gratitude and appreciation of the benefits enjoyed during 40 years of His Majesty’s rule. The project ‘My Message’ was initiated by a citizen from Salalah and took a national turn thereafter. It passed through the governorates and regions of the Sultanate to commemorate the 40th national day anniversary. The 2000 m letter was welcomed with folk music and joyous celebration, wishing for continued wealth and prosperity to Oman, its beloved leader, and kind people.
